At The Donation Hub, we are proudly supporting and fundraising money from our wonderful customers donations for Action for Children Charity.

They are a UK based children’s charity created to help vulnerable children and young people and their families in the UK. The charity has 7,000 staff and volunteers who operate over 475 services in the UK. They served a total of 671,275 children in 2021 and 2022.

During Mental Health Awareness Week, we wanted to share with you the impact this charity makes on young children struggling. We couldn’t be prouder fundraising vital funding for Action for Children from our customers wonderful donations that are dropped off.

How Decluttering can help improve your Mental Health

There’s a significant connection between mental health and decluttering. Here are a few ways decluttering can positively impact mental well-being:

Reduced Stress: Clutter can contribute to feelings of stress and overwhelm. Decluttering can help create a sense of order and control, leading to reduced stress levels.

Improved Focus: A clutter-free environment can enhance focus and concentration. When there are fewer distractions, it becomes easier to concentrate on tasks at hand.

Enhanced Mood: Living in a cluttered space can negatively affect mood and even contribute to feelings of anxiety and depression. Clearing out clutter can create a more pleasant and uplifting environment, improving overall mood.

Increased Productivity: Clutter can make it difficult to find things and can lead to procrastination. Decluttering can streamline your surroundings, making it easier to be productive and efficient.

Better Sleep: A cluttered bedroom can interfere with sleep quality. Removing clutter from the bedroom can create a more relaxing environment conducive to restful sleep.

Sense of Accomplishment: Completing decluttering tasks can give a sense of accomplishment and boost self-esteem. It reinforces the idea that you have control over your environment and can make positive changes in your life.
